Pauline J. Oberlander, 87, Catharine Twp., Williamsburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday evening at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Albino R. and Leonora C. “Nellie” (Figurelli) Michelone. On January 15, 1949 she married William W. Oberlander at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2008.

Surviving are a daughter, Delores A. “Dee” Verbonitz (Daniel) of rural Williamsburg; 3 grandchildren: Missy Hartman, Lori Detwiler and Dan Verbonitz; 7 great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Alyssa, Justin, Tanner, Dylan, Colton and Parker; a sister, Dolores Beaver of Wakefield, VA; and a brother, Jerry of Homer City.

She was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Theodore Sr., Richard “Medie”, Joseph, Roger, and Ronald; and 3 sisters: Virginia King, Sylvia Hyle and Minnie Cramer.

Pauline was a 1946 graduate of Williamsburg High School. She retired as a sewing machine operator from Puritan, Altoona with over 30 years of service.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg where she served on the “Ladies Guild”.

Pauline enjoyed baking and also loved spending time with her family and always made sure she attended all her grand and great grandchildren sports or school activities.

Friends will be received from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg, Father Matthew A. Reese officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 628 W. First St., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
