Peggy L. Bookhammer, 74, resident of Pennknoll Village, Everett, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday morning at the home.

She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Chester and Helen Pauline Richardson. She was married to the late George W.J. Bookhammer who passed on April 25, 1976.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Patty A. Wilson of Bedford and Georgette Strub of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 stepsons: Andy, Jerry and Terry Bookhammer all of Williamsburg; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 3 sisters: Joyce Hicks, Sharon Webb and Barbara Bracken; and a brother, David Richardson.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Fred, John, and Eugene; and a sister, Jacqueline Richardson.

Peggy was a 1959 graduate of Williamsburg High School and spent her working career in Human Services helping others.

She loved spending time with her family and was a very spiritual person.

Friends will be received from 1 until the 3pm celebration of life service, Monday, March 21, 2016 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. Inurnment will follow at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
