Peggy Lou Metz, 78, of Martinsburg, passed away Friday morning, June 10, 2022 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Leroy Monroe Sr. and Verna Mae (Horton) Waite.

Surviving are three children: Donald W. Metz of Hollidaysburg, Cathy M. Evans (Bud) of rural Williamsburg and Dennis A. “Chip” Metz (Amy) of Plum Creek; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters: Donna Mae Treese of Quarryville and Evelyn M. Forsythe of Tyrone; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six brothers: Sheldon K., Harold R., Melvin R., John H., Leroy M. Jr. and Norman W. Waite.

Peggy attended Williamsburg High School and Royer United Methodist Church.  She was primarily a homemaker that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

There will be no public services and a private interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peggy’s memory may be given to the Royer Cemetery Association.
