Perdetha L. (Thomas) Shehan

Perdetha L. Shehan, 95, of Martinsburg, formerly of Frosty Hollow, passed away on July 21, 2020 at The Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born on October 22, 1924 in East Freedom; daughter of the late Edgar and Bedelia (Hainley) Thomas. Perdetha was united in marriage to Orville “Babe” Shehan; he preceded her in death on July 5, 1990. She was a member of the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church and avid bible reader. Perdetha greatly enjoyed the time she spent with family and babysitting. She was preceded in death by her husband Orville; granddaughter Brenda Royer; son-in-law William Royer; as well as three brothers and one sister. Surviving are daughter Betty Hicks (George); son Walter Shehan (Kathy); son Orville Shehan Jr. (Becky); son Gerald Shehan (Lise); as well as 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 4:00-6:00PM. At 6:00PM a Funeral Service will take place with Pastor Earl Herr officiating. All of the above will be held at the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church. Interment will be in Holsinger Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Perdetha’s name can be made to the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church to help with future church projects.
