Ray A. Claycomb, 49, Williamsburg passed away Thursday afternoon at UPMC Altoona following an extended illness.

He was born in Sewickley, son of the late Dervin C. Sr. and Betty Lou (Creighton) Claycomb.  He married Jennifer L. Reed on July 8, 1999 in Hollidaysburg.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 16 years; a daughter, Tiffany A. Reed of Altoona; 2 brothers: Dervin Claycomb Jr. (Katie) of Beaverdale and Charlie Claycomb (Shelley) of Bedford; special nephew Christopher Claycomb (Ashley); great niece, Tymber all of Williamsburg; sister-in-law, Valerie Ellis (Brian) of Martinsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Claycomb.

Ray was a 1985 graduate of Williamsburg High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1985 until 1988.

He had been employed as a security guard for Securitas, Altoona, where he worked at Westvaco, Williamsburg.

Ray was affiliated with Living Waters Family Worship Center, rural Williamsburg.  He enjoyed fishing, demolition derbies, collecting model cars, watching WWE wrestling, hanging out at Nic’s Grab N Go and especially loved his dog, Precious.

Friends will be received from 5:30 pm until the 7pm celebration of life service, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, Pastor Les Montgomery officiating.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA  16648.
