Raymond H. Brumbaugh, 76, Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Merle C. and Pauline M. (Criswell) Brumbaugh. Raymond was twice married, first to Sandra M. Doyka and then to Helen L. (Chamberlain) Lindberg.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Helen of 34 years; 6 children: Allan Brumbaugh, Crystal Brumbaugh, Jeffrey Brumbaugh (Connie), Lori Bennett (Edward), Erik Lindberg (Luana) and Heather Hodge; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorcas Rhodes (Ron); and a brother, Calvin Brumbaugh (Janet).

Raymond was a 1959 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg and a lifetime member of Salem United Church of Christ, rural Martinsburg.

He retired in 2001 as an industrial mechanic, from the Fonda Group, Williamsburg with 35 years of service.  Raymond then drove school van for four years for the Dennis L. Smith Busing Company.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loved his family. Raymond also enjoyed antique tractors, was a member of the Southern Cove Power Reunion Club and the Hickory Hill Hunting Club.

Friends will be received from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Monday, June 13, 2016 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Salem United Church of Christ, rural Martinsburg, Pastor Betty J. Royer officiating. Interment will be held at Salem Church Cemetery.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to American Diabetes Association.
