Richard E. “Dick” Eastep

Richard E. “Dick” Eastep, 85, of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 25, 2025 at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.
He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late Roy Adam and Mabel Ann (Yocum) Eastep. On June 4, 1960 he married Alma Jane Bookhammer at the Eight Square Chapel, rural Williamsburg. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2024 following 63 years of marriage.
Surviving are two children: Dena Kennedy (Dave) and Rich Eastep (Nichole) both of rural Williamsburg; five grandchildren: Carrie Loose (Joel), Kazia Knepp (Jon), Kellie Schwake (Greg), Evalyn Snively (Brock) and Katie Powell (Will); nine great-grandchildren: Cooper, Andy, Colbie, Mackenzie, Auri, Gemma, Eleanor, Ethan and Laney.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Kaurudar; and two brothers: Robert M. Eastep and William D. Eastep.
Dick attended Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg and later completed his G.E.D. He was a longtime dairy farmer, who owned and operated Shellytown Farm in rural Williamsburg. Dick also worked at Martinsburg Bobcat, Hinish Farm Market and drove school van for Maxwell Transport for the Spring Cove School District.
He was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, where he formerly served on Church Council. Dick was also a member of the Jaffa Shrine Temple and was known as “Lil Red” with the Calliope Clowns Unit and a member and past worshipful master at the Hollidaysburg Lodge #220 F&AM. Dick also served on the Williamsburg School Board, Williamsburg Farm Show Board, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, Williamsburg Young Farmers and with numerous other farming organizations.
Dick loved spending time with his family, square dancing, camping and working alongside his wife, Alma in their flower gardens.
Friends will be received from 10 until 11:30 am, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am, Pastor John Kratz and Mrs. Linda Sollenberger officiating. Private interment will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
