RICHARD “DICK” KOONTZ
OBIT.

RICHARD “DICK” KOONTZ, 64, Of Maple Run Lane, Hopewell. Died at his home 09/04/2012 with his Loving wife, children and brother by his side. He was born 05/22/1948 in Marble City, the son of William and Ruby (Eller) Koontz. Married Emily Hall on July 4th 1970. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Reform Church. He and his brother operated the Koontz Brothers Construction. He Graduated from NBC in 1968. He served 2 years in the Army as a Military Policeman. His Interest was work, work and work.
Survivors: his wife one daughter Kristan and husband Landon Barton of Fishertown. Three sons Richard Jr. and wife Mandi of Las Vegas, Daniel and wife Heather of Sunbury and Mark and wife Brooke of Hopewell. Four sisters Lucille Dodson, Dorothy Stiffler, Jean Ziviello and Phyllis Schroth one brother Ralph Koontz. Grandchildren Joe, Gabriel, Zachariah, (Emma Grace), Nicholas, Bailey, Lydia, Kay Lee. Survived by Buddy Dave Scott. Proceeded in death by grandsons Lucas.
Friends Received 5-8pm Friday the 7th at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home and 10-11am Sat. the 8th at the St. Paul’s Reform Church. Where an 11 am service will be held by Pastor Gary Sams. Committal service will be at the Loysburg south cemetery. In Lieu of flowers Memorials maybe made to the National Leiomyo Sarcoma: NLMSF Donations 18623 County Road 125 Foley, AL 36535-3738.
