Richard T. Henry, 81, of Hopewell passed away on July 15, 2015 at Altoona UPMC. He was born on December 19, 1933 in Loysburg, the son of William and Katherine (Fluke) Henry. On August 2, 1960 in Winchester, Virginia he married Barbara A. Snyder who preceded him in death on January 21, 2013. They were married 52 years. Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956 as a cook. Richard was employed by W.L. Hall Lime and Coal Company for 20 years and Agway for 27 years. Currently, Richard worked at Growmark F.S. being there for the past 12 years. Richard’s interests included working for the area farmers and putting together puzzles and model cars. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Rhodes and husband Kenneth and Ronda Eicher and fiancé Jeff Cogan all of Loysburg. One sister, Ruth Henry. Seven grandchildren, Kristy and husband, Monte Cowan; Kevin Eicher who was raised in the Henry home and wife Melinda; Starla Musselman; Brittany, Tanner, and Kelsey Rhodes; and Michael Wiand. Also surviving is four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara and siblings, Harry, Andy, Glenn, Daisy, Alma, Edna, and Mary. Friends will be received on July 18, 2015 from 2:00PM till 5:00PM at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. At 5:00PM a Funeral Service will be held with Bill Neville officiating. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Richard. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury.
