Robert Wayne “Bobby” Ayers

Robert Wayne “Bobby” Ayers, 71, of Martinsburg, passed away Saturday evening, May 18, 2024, at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Robert E. and Gail G. (Grimes) Ayers.

Surviving are two siblings: Toonay Ayers of Pittsburgh and Joe Ayers of Martinsburg; a niece, Jennifer A. (Ayers) Heath, her husband, David of Pittsburgh; a great-nephew, Jonathan Heath; and a great-niece, Hannah Heath.

He was a 1971 graduate of Central High School. For many years, Bobby worked as a programmer analyst and systems programmer for various companies. He proudly served as a church leader and layperson through The Intercontinental Church of God for numerous years.

He loved traveling to drum corps shows and was a member of the Westshoreman Drum Corps, Harrisburg.

Friends will be received from 3:30 until 5pm, Sunday, May 26, 2024, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, where a funeral service will begin at 5pm, Pastor James Shaffer officiating.
