Robert C. "Bob" Shope

Robert C. “Bob” Shope, 61, of Woodbury, passed away on December 8, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on June 3, 1963 in Roaring Spring; son of the late Dale and Lillian (Estep) Shope. On June 27, 1987, in the gazebo at the Maranatha Church, he was united in marriage to Kimberly A. (Bontrager) Shope; she preceded him in death on November 7, 2021.

Bob was a graduate of Northern Bedford High School and a John Deere tractor enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren, especially at football and baseball games.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly; a son, Jordan K. Shope in March of 2003; and a sister, Linda Cantrell. Surviving is son, Skyler Shope (Ariel) of Woodbury; grandchildren, Kayden, Jace, and Emma Shope; brother, Marty Shope (Garnetta) of Gettysburg; sister, Edna Shope of Everett; brother, Dave Shope (Diane) of Crystal Spring; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and acquired grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 10:00AM until the 1:00PM Funeral Service at the Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury; Pastor Chris Heinlein officiating. Interment will be in Shope Cemetery, Blacklog Valley.
