Robert E. “Bob” Fleegle 93, of Henrietta, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026 at his home. He was born in Central City, a son of the late Winfield Henry and Lulu (Raymond) Fleegle. On September 5, 1959 in Central City, he married Patricia M. “Pat” (Carver) Fleegle who preceded him in death on November 18, 2020. He is survived by three children: Sandra Waugaman and husband Richard, of Lenoir, NC, Robert H. Fleegle and wife Barb, of Mercersburg, and Douglas Fleegle and wife Nancy, of Palmyra; seven grandchildren: Richard Waugaman III, Andrew Waugaman, Ashley Waugaman, Jeffrey Stephens, LJ Lowe, Isaac Lowe, and Travis Lowe; and four great-grandchildren: Keaden and Megan Barnas, Samantha Rae Waugaman, and Kahlan Stephens. He was preceded in death by a infant daughter Lori Ann Fleegle; a granddaughter Jennifer Bickle; and four siblings: Mary C. Ripple, Elizabeth Ann Eckert, Richard N. and Donald R. Fleegle.
Bob was a 1950 graduate of Shade Township High School. He went on to serve in the US Army from 1953 – 1955 during the Korean Conflict, and received an honorable discharge at the rank of Corporal. Bob obtained his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1959, and held a career at PennDot as an engineer spanning 34 years. He retired in 1993 from the Hollidaysburg office. Bob was a life member of the Central City American Legion Post #449, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Christ Church in Roaring Spring. He enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting, fishing, and snow birding with his wife Pat in Winter Garden, FL.
Friends will be received on Thursday, August 13, from 4-7 pm at the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg, and again on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service at the Christ Church, in Roaring Spring, with Pastor Joel Kletzing officiating. Interment at Daley Cemetery, Cairnbrook.
