June 7, 1951 – June 11, 2025

Robert L. Hughes 74, of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late William L. and Dorothy E. (Stacey) Hughes.

He is survived by two sons: Michael R. Hughes of Imler, and Jason E. Hughes (Susie) of Williamsburg; a brother William K. Hughes (Diane), of Woodbury, and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a 1970 graduate of Williamsburg High School.  He worked in the shipping department at the Fonda Group, Williamsburg, until its closure, and later drove a van for Raystown Transit Service.  Bob was a member of the Royer United Methodist Church, Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post #456, Williamsburg, and the Seven Falls Angler’s Club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, trail rides at Shady Trail Riding Club, and going to Elk County to watch the elk.

Friends and family will be received from 4-5 pm , Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Mines United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg, where a memorial service will begin at 5 pm at the church, Pastor Cheryl Gonsman officiating. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
