Roger L. Grubb, 71, rural Hollidaysburg, passed away early Tuesday morning at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Jacob Curtis and Elda Mae (Lynn) Grubb.  On September 18, 1965 he married Linda Mae Diehl in Hollidaysburg.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years; two brothers: Wilfred P. of Martinsburg and Curtis “Jake” of New Enterprise; and two sisters: Jan M. Claar of Martinsburg and Sharon E. Jones of rural Hollidaysburg.

Roger was preceded in death by four brothers: Galen, Byron, Warren “Bob” and Garry.

He was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and retired in 2002 as a welder from Conrail Hollidaysburg Shop with over 15 years of service.

Roger was a member and past president of the Frankstown Sportsman’s Association and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and riding horses.

At the request of the deceased there will be no services.

Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions in memory of Roger be given to the American Cancer Society, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
