Roger L. Omps, 64, of New Paris, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown. He was born on August 30, 1953 in Berkley Springs, the son of the late Charles and Leotta (Decker) Omps. On October 18, 1980 in Woodbury, he married Pamela F. (Imler) Omps who passed away on August 30, 2017. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his wife, family, and grandchildren, and was a member of the Breezewood VFW. Surviving are daughters Joni Ott (Lee) of Manns Choice and Carrie R.K. “Becky” Hale (John Jr.) of New Paris; grandchildren Makayla (fiancé Joe), Roger, Regena, Stephen, Kaleb, Teagan, and Madalyn; and brother Keith "Butch" Omps (Joanna). He was preceded in death by siblings Cleo "Punch" Omps, Darlene "Chub" Omps, and Robert "Sonny" Omps. Friends will be received on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. At 11:00AM a funeral service will take place with Pastor Lee Ritchey officiating. All of the above will be held at the Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury.
