Ronald J. Hoffman 68, of Jack’s Corner, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Conemaugh Nason Hospital. He was born in Hopewell a son of Ila Jane (Hoffman) Diehl, of Hopewell, and the grandson of the late John and Florence Hoffman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: R. Dustin Hoffman and wife Michelle, of Bedford, and Amanda Smith and husband Andrew, of Evansville, IN; a grandson Duncan Smith, and his beloved dog, Sophie.

Ron was a 1976 graduate of Northern Bedford High School. He was a butcher by trade with Sipes Locker Plant, in Everett, Rhodes Meat Market, in Martinsburg, and retired from the meat department at the Saxton Market. Ron was also a Deputy Fish Warden with the PA Fish Commission. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering in the workshop, taking Sophie on buggy rides, and spending time outdoors. Ron was a man of faith and loved the Lord and was happy to share the Gospel. He lived his life giving what he could, and doing what he could to help others.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at the Bedford Forge Community Church, 384 Jacks Corner Road, Hopewell, from 3:30 pm until the 5:30 pm funeral service with Pastor Beth Pyles officiating. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

2 Timothy 4:6-8: 6
