Ruth S. (Allison) Guyer

Ruth S. (Allison) Guyer, 95, of Claysburg, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Bella Rose Home, LLC – Claysburg.

Ruth worked as cafeteria staff for NBC School District and as a CNA for the Morrisons Cove Home. She was a lifetime member of the Waterside Church of the Brethren. Ruth loved being involved with the church and made it her mission to make sure EVERYONE knew Jesus! She enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing, and family time. Ruth was a hardworking woman with a love and a drive for life.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Guyer; a son, David Guyer; and a daughter, Nancy Wallace. Surviving is grandchildren: Timothy Guyer (wife, Victoria) of East Freedom, Dawn Detwiler (husband, Bryan) of Martinsburg, Tammy Detwiler (husband, Tom) of Martinsburg, and Jessica Gardner (husband, TJ) of Osceola Mills; great-grandchildren: Tanner Guyer, Shannon Detwiler, Jamie Detwiler, Jacob Detwiler, David Detwiler, Kendrick Gardner, and Keileena Gardner; great-great grandchildren, Tucker Guyer and Brooklynn Shaffer; daughter-in-law, Connie (Clark) Guyer; and son-in-law, Terry Wallace.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 9:00AM until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at the Fink & Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury; Pastor Michael Benner officiating. Interment will be in Koontz Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and the staff at Bella Rose Home, LLC for their love and care for Ruth. Jolene was “Grandma’s Earth Angel” and Angie Davies was a wonderful nurse.
