Scott Eugene Brown Panosetti

Scott Eugene Brown Panosetti, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at his home in Pittsburgh. He was born on October 15, 1974 in Huntingdon County; son of the late Glenda M. (Shafer) Panosetti and V. Frank Brown. He was raised by his mother, Glenda and step-father, Vito O. Panosetti, whom he considered as his father. After the passing of his mother, he was then raised by both step-parents, Vito and Nanette Panosetti.

Scott graduated from Southern Huntingdon County High School in 1993, and then pursued his calling in the Navy with honorable discharge. Post military, he became a laborer in various jobs.

Those who knew Scott knew his love for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He was the type of person who enjoyed everyone’s company, never met a stranger, free spirit, and was always conversing with his brothers and father about the Penn State game. Scott always got a kick out of teasing his siblings and will always be remembered for the saying, “I am the good-looking brother” followed with a huge, mischievous smile and laugh. It would never fail, his family catching him looking at himself in the mirror fixing his hair and checking out his teeth. With his self-love, what he loved the most was spending time with his family, especially his dad, Vito. He always made sure he told his step-parents how much he cared and loved them when they spoke.

Scott is survived by his step-parents, Vito and Nanette Panosetti of Three Springs and siblings: William Panosetti of Wake Forest, NC, Jason Panosetti of Harrisburg, Seth Panosetti of Mount Union, Jenna Panosetti Brown of Saxton, and their families. Scott leaves behind his two sons, Rider and Leland Panosetti of Butler; grandfather, Edward W. Walker of Mount Union; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Hazel Shafer of Three Springs and grandmothers: J. Jean Fleck and Nancy Walker both of Mount Union.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the Three Springs Cemetery.
