Sharon Diane (Turner) Helsel

Sharon Diane Helsel, 65, of Woodbury, passed into Jesus’ presence on February 20, 2018 at her home. She was born on August 22, 1952 in Dubois, the daughter of Paul S. Jr. and Jennie M. (Smith) Turner. On December 12, 1970 she married David Clyde Helsel. Sharon was a member of the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church where she was a prayer warrior; praying for any and all that needed her prayers. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, and sewing; but her most joyous occasions came from the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Paul S. Turner Jr. Surviving are her husband David; mother Jennie; son Brent Helsel and wife Julie, parents of Julia and Sarah of Woodbury; daughter Larae Wiedemann and husband Todd, parents of Luke, Levi, and Chloe of Woodbury; son Eric Helsel and wife Jessica, parents of Rebekah and Nathanael of New Enterprise; son Keith Helsel and wife Carrie, parents of Aleigha, Ava, and Alexia of Woodbury; and brother Paul D. Turner and wife Karen of New Enterprise. Friends will be received on Thursday, February 22nd from 4:00-7:00PM and Friday, February 23rd from 10:00-11:00AM. At 11:00AM Friday, a Funeral Service will take place with Pastor Brian McCall officiating.  All of the above will be held at the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Sharon’s name can be made to Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church Youth Ministries.
