Sharon K. Thompson, 67, rural Roaring Spring, passed away Sunday evening at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of O. Leonard and Helen R. (Cunningham) Hamm. She married Boyd W. Thompson on July 10, 1965 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2014.
Surviving are her mother of Martinsburg; 2 daughters: Tammy Feathers (Bill) of rural Roaring Spring, and Millie Robison (Rick) of College Station, TX; 2 sons: Boyd W. Thompson II (Lorie) of Duncansville and Mark Thompson (Heather) of Martinsburg; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Davis of Acme; and 2 brothers: Robert and Randy, both of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by her father; a granddaughter, Jessica Feathers; and a son-in-law, John Tarry.
Sharon retired as a packer from Warnaco, Duncansville after 23 years of service.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and camping.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing. A private graveside service will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
The family prefers memorial contributions be given to your favorite local charity.
