Shirley J. (Stonerook) Guyer

Shirley J. (Stonerook) Guyer, 89, of Martinsburg, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at her home. She was born on December 12, 1935 in Woodbury; daughter of the late Frank and Viola (Kephart) Stonerook. On June 8, 1957 at the Trinity Lutheran Church – Woodbury, she was united in marriage to Jay T. Guyer; he preceded her in death on May 13, 2016.

Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Woodbury High School and later attended the Altoona Business School. She attended the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church. Shirley enjoyed playing piano, cross stitching, reading, and caring for/spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jay T. Guyer; and a daughter, Julie A. (Guyer) Torrance. Surviving is son, Jay L. Guyer (Wendy) of Martinsburg; son-in-law, Rick Torrance of Syracuse, NY; grandchildren: Heather Wensley (Chris) of Fairport, NY; Dylan Lamborn of Ventnor City, NJ; and Jenna Aiken (Hunter) of Altoona; 2 great-grandchildren, Brooks and Lucas Wensley; and a nephew, Wayne Guyer (Lynnette) of Woodbury.

Private interment will be held at Dry Hill Cemetery - Woodbury.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Shirley’s name may be given to the Martinsburg Community Library.
