Sidonia L. “Sissy” Locher, 80, Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning at her home.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Herman F. and M.E. Kathryn (Nier) Locher.

Surviving are 3 nephews: Kenneth D. Locher of Weirton, WV, Richard H. Locher in Alaska, and Roger W. Locher of Williamsburg; and a niece, Tammy L. (Locher) Diller of Lancaster.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth R.; and a sister, Barbara Jean Locher.

Sidonia was a 1953 graduate of Robert P. Smith High School, Yellow Creek, Bedford County.

She was employed by the Prudential Life Insurance Company, in both California and Altoona.

Sidonia enjoyed spending time with her pet Yorkie’s and the time she spent in California.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public services and private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Blair Senior Services.
