Stephen John Duhan, 91, of James Creek, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center – Altoona. He was born on April 3, 1934 in Wilkins Township, Pittsburgh; son of the late Stephen and Susan (Barsula) Duhan. On June 13, 1985 in Cumberland, Maryland, he was united in marriage to Gladys L. (Marvich) Duhan; she preceded him in death on January 10, 2010.
Stephen was a Class of 1952 graduate of Wilkinsburg High School and Class of 1960 graduate of Penn Technical Institute. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War, obtaining the rank of Airman Second Class. Stephen retired as an Electronic Maintenance Technician for ELCO in Huntingdon. He enjoyed flying remote-controlled airplanes, fishing trips to Raystown Lake with his boat, hunting, ATV rides, and model trains. In his later years, Stephen enjoyed socializing with his friends over coffee at Martin’s General Store in Saxton. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church – Dudley and a former member of the Broad Top Area American Legion.
Stephen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gladys; as well as his siblings, Robert R., Ronald D., and Kathleen Duhan. Surviving is his extended family: Ken and Denise Haney and their little dog, Biscuit.
Friends will be received on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at Fink & Stone Funeral Home in Martinsburg; Father Mark Reid officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery – Martinsburg.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Stephen’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/give.html).
