Steven T.  Kauruter, Jr., 47, of Williamsburg, passed away early Saturday morning, August 26, 2023, at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of Steven T., Sr. and Dorothy L. (Detwiler) Kauruter. On August 10, 2020, he married Danielle R. Talbert at Williamsburg Church of the Brethren.

Surviving along with his wife Danielle are five children: Luke Kauruter (Janelle), Leanna Harker (Jim), Marine Lance Corporal Austin Kauruter, Thomas Kauruter, and Logan Kauruter; three stepchildren: Teresa Talbert, Samuel Eger, and Ruth Eger; a brother, Michael Kauruter (Maryanne); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He attended Williamsburg Church of the Brethren, Williamsburg.

Steven was a 1994 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He attended Johnson Technical Institute, where he received certification in carpentry and masonry.

Steven worked as a paperboy throughout his teenage years and then helped on numerous local farms as a farm hand. He took pride in his carpentry and masonry skills and started his own business, Steven Kauruter Carpentry and Masonry .  Steven was then employed at Norfolk Southern Juniata Locomotive Shop, Altoona until his retirement on December 9, 2019.

He loved spending time with all of his kids, family, and friends. Steven was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, camping, hunting, fishing, and trapping. He also enjoyed taking rides on his Harley.

Friends will be received from 5 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Williamsburg Church of the Brethren, 529 West Third Street, Williamsburg, PA 16693 and from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service, Wednesday, August 30, 2023, Pastor Alan Brumbaugh officiating. Interment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

Memorial contributions in memory of Steven can be made to John K. Bolger Funeral Home, Inc., 424 West Second Street, Williamsburg, PA 16693 to defray funeral expenses or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
