Suzie L. Snyder, 67, Martinsburg formerly of Williamsburg, passed away late Saturday evening at her home following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of Joseph F. and Betty J. (Reed) Corrigan.  Suzie was twice married, first to John C. “Jack” Helsel and then to James R. Snyder, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2004.

Surviving are her mother of Williamsburg; 3 daughters: Karen S. Delozier (Stan), Bobbi Jo Bookhammer (Kevin) all of Williamsburg, and Jacquelyn S. Miller (Brian) of Martinsburg; 5 grandchildren: Corey Delozier, Justin and Sarah Bookhammer, Madelyn and Jocelyn Miller; 2 sisters: Linda Coy of Clappertown, and Deb Russell of Roaring Spring; a brother, Kenny Corrigan; and a sister-in-law, Gina Corrigan all of Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, James Corrigan.

Suzie was a 1965 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg.

She attended Cove Forge United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg and Suzie retired from Tyrone Hospital.

Suzie loved spending time with her family, watching the grandchildren’s sporting events, gardening, doing things for others and she was constantly giving of herself.

Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Cove Forge United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating.  Interment will follow at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
