Terry Ray Bookhammer, Sr.

Terry Ray Bookhammer, Sr., 80, of Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, May 1, 2025, at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late George W.J. and Ruth Elizabeth (Burd) Bookhammer.
Surviving a four children: Timothy I. McGregor (Michelle) of Williamsburg, Terry R. Bookhammer Jr (Shauna), of Williamsburg, Julie A. (Bookhammer) Tolbert, of Florida, and Ruby D. Bookhammer (Warren Blades) of Williamsburg; twelve grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter on the way; two sisters: Patty Wilson of Bedford and Georgette Strub (Bob) of Oklahoma; a longtime friend and coworker, John Nale; and numerous extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Von Victor Bookhammer; and three brothers: Gerald J. Bookhammer, James Andrew Bookhammer, and John Burd.
Terry attended Williamsburg High School and went on to work at Irwin Railroad before working at Warnaco as a truck driver and an industrial mechanic. He later retired from Westvaco/Fonda as security.
Terry loved listening to Johnny Cash, trips to Sheetz for coffee with his brother, Jerry, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking photographs, and drawing. He was a train enthusiast, and enjoyed telling stories and was known for his wicked sense of humor.
Friends will be received from 2-4 pm, Sunday May 4, 2025, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 4 pm, Pastor Joseph D. Weber and Mr. Ross McConahy officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
