Thelma G. Kifer

Thelma G. Kifer, 90, resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg, formerly of Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord, Monday morning at the home.
She was born in New Enterprise, daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Stiffler) Deetor. She married J. Alton Kifer on July 16, 1948 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2012.
Surviving are a son, Jeffrey A. (wife, Shirley) and a daughter, Beth A. Morgan (John Allen) all of Williamsburg; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
She was a 1943 graduate of Roaring Spring High School.
Thelma retired from the A&P Market, Hollidaysburg, where she worked in the meat department.
She was a member of the Williamsburg Church of the Brethren, where she formerly served as church treasurer and of the Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg Ladies Auxiliary.
Thelma loved visiting with family and friends, and also enjoyed playing pinochle, gardening and she was always on the go.
Friends will be received from 6-8pm, Thursday, December 17, 2015 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg where an American Legion Ladies Auxiliary service will be held. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Williamsburg Church of the Brethren, Pastor Allen J. Baker Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at Henry’s Lutheran Cemetery at Yellow Springs, rural Williamsburg.
