Thelma R. McCall, 86, rural Williamsburg, returned to her heavenly home on Monday, April 18, 2016, in Boynton Beach, FL, after a brief battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
She was born in Akron, OH, a daughter of the late Homer F. and Cora Belle (Brumbaugh) Pheasant. She married Chalmer Eugene McCall on July 31, 1948, in Martinsburg. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2008.
Surviving are 5 sons: Donald (wife, Bonnie), Daniel (wife, Kathleen), James (wife, Jeannette), John, and David (wife, Lori); 2 daughters: Linda Walker (husband, Kerry) and Sue Herrick (husband, Gary); 43 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Marion (wife Margaret), Gerald (wife Janet), Paul (wife, Jeweleen), and Clayton (wife, Judy); and a sister, Jane Shreiner (husband, Ronald).
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert; 2 brothers: Bob and Phil; and a sister, Betty Russell.
Thelma was a graduate of Morrison Cove High School, Martinsburg and a member of the Williamsburg Independent Baptist Church.
Friends will be received 6:30-8:30 pm, Friday, April 22, 2016, at the Williamsburg Independent Baptist Church, and from 10 until the 11 am funeral service on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the church, Pastor Joseph D. Weber and the Rev. Donald E. McCall officiating. Interment at Shellytown Fairview Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
