V. Grace (Lego) Gable

V. Grace (Lego) Gable, 85, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1940 in Woodbury; daughter of the late Earl B., Sr. and Blossom Belle (Beach) Lego. On April 19, 1959 at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren, she was united in marriage to John H. Gable; he preceded her in death on January 8, 2023. Together they spent 63 years!

Grace was a Class of 1958 graduate of Northern Bedford County High School and a 1968 graduate of the Nason Hospital Nurse Aide Program. She was employed for many years at Nason Hospital and was also a home healthcare provider for several years. Grace was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed reading, puzzle books, bus trips to Alaska and Nova Scotia, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Family was ALWAYS first and very important to Grace.

Surviving is daughter, Juliana Roberts (Billy Pfeffer) of Altoona; daughter, Judith Behrendt (Alan) of Rockaway Township, NJ; grandchildren, Jonathan (Margaret), Jordan (Lynne), Alyssa, and Andrew; great-granddaughter, Jamie Grace; and brothers: Walter Lego (Wanda) of Waterford, and Earl Lego, Jr. (Pam) of Erie.

Friends will be received on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM funeral service at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren; Pastor David Scott officiating. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury.
