Victor Russell Tracey

Victor Russell Tracey, 72, of Woodbury, formerly of Frederick, MD, passed away on December 17, 2018 following an extended illness. He was born on December 18, 1945 in Durham, NC; son of William and Nell (Dixon) Tracey. On February 28, 1987 in Curryville, he was united in marriage with Carolyn Widmann. Victor was a self-employed hardwood floor sander and refinisher. Throughout his life, he refinished 100’s of floors in our area, as well as the Frederick area. He enjoyed woodworking, playing guitar, fishing, drawing, and loved to chat to anyone and everyone. Victor could often be found watching Western movies or an episode of Star Trek. He was preceded in death by his father, William Tracey. Surviving are his wife Carolyn; mother Nell; daughter Holly Sottile and husband RJ of Martinsburg; son Curtis Tracey and wife Clarice (Fluke) of Hopewell; sisters Patricia Delauter, Teresa Fritz, and Susan Poole of Maryland and Lora Thompson of York; as well as brother Jerry Tracey of Maryland. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Martinsburg. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Victor’s name can be made to the Southern Cove EMS or the Woodbury Church of the Brethren.
