Virginia A. (Corl) Burket

Virginia A. Burket, 89, of Martinsburg, passed away on June 13, 2020. She was born on May 29, 1931 in Altoona; daughter of the late Harry and Elvina (Henry) Corl. On April 11, 1950 in Winchester Virginia, she was united in marriage to Logan E. “Toby” Burket Sr.; he preceded her in death on January 5, 2008. Virginia was a graduate of Greenfield High School. She attended the Dallas School of Nursing in 1963 and the Earl Wheeler Finishing School of Pittsburgh in 1964. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Virginia was once President of the Alto. Artist Guild and attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Hollidaysburg. She was preceded in death by her husband Logan E. “Toby” Burket Sr. and a daughter Candy Burket-Claycomb. Surviving is her son Logan E. Burket Jr. of Martinsburg. Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 10:00 until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at the Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury; Pastor Mike Benner will be officiating. Interment will be in the Claysburg Union Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Virginia’s name can be made to the Village at Morrisons Cove Good Samaritan Fund.
