Vivian Ruth (Ritchey) Beach

Vivian Ruth (Ritchey) Beach, 96, of Altoona, formerly of Woodbury, passed away on December 5, 2024 at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center – Altoona. She was born on September 7, 1928 in Yellow Creek; daughter of the late Malachi and Bernice (Clapper) Ritchey. On February 1, 1947 in Roaring Spring, she was united in marriage to Gerald Ray Beach; he preceded her in death on December 22, 2020.

Vivian was a graduate of Woodbury High School and worked as a custodian at Northern Bedford High School for many years. She was a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church – Martinsburg and the Cove Lioness Club. Vivian enjoyed crocheting, crosswords, and puzzles.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; brothers, Leo and Mike; and sisters, Maxine, Cora, and Phyllis. Surviving is son, Gregory Beach (Vonna) of Harrisburg; daughter, Shanda Imler (Rick) of Roaring Spring; grandchildren, Christopher, Tesha, Leeann, Timothy, and Leah; great-grandchildren, Mya, Adrianna, Kalena, Liam, and Brian; sister, Joann Ritchey; and sister-in-law, Doris Ritchey.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 12:00PM until the 1:00PM Funeral Service at Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury; Pastor Traci Marriott officiating. Interment will be in Bedford County Memorial Park.
