OBIT.
W. LLOYD IMLER, 86, Resident of Altoona and Native of Woodbury died 12/06/2014 at the Graystone Manor, Bellemeade. He was Born 06/03/1928 the son of Jesse W. and J. Mae (Kagarise ) Imler. On 09/04/1948 he married Dorothy M. Russell, who died on 11/01/2009.
Mr. Imler was a member of the Woodbury Church of God and worshipped regularly at the First Grace Brethren Church of Altoona. Mr. Imler retired in 1986 after nearly a forty year career with the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company. He worked in various Blair Co. stores as a meat cutter and later as a manger of the A&P Co. Office at 29th St. He was a Director of the Dry Hill Cemetery Assn. and previously served as secretary of the Woodbury Borough Council.
Surviving are five children Alan L. of Duncansville, Kathy Foor of Martinsburg, Arlan D. of Altoona, David L. of Hollywood FL, and Lisa Treese of Altoona, eleven Grandchildren and six Great-grandchildren, one sister, Meredith Erb of Roaring Spring.
Friends received 4 to 7 pm Tuesday the 9th at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury and 10 to 11am Wednesday the 10th at the Leamersville Grace Fellowship church where an 11am service will be held by Pastor John Townsend. Interment in the Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury. In liew of flowers, memorials maybe made to the First Grace Brethren Church, Altoona, 2934 Maple Ave, Altoona 16601.
