Wayne H. "Clem" Snyder

Wayne H. “Clem” Snyder, 84, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully to the Lord on August 6, 2025 at The Winds at Mattern Orchard – Duncansville. He was born on November 23, 1940 in Pittsburgh; son of the late Harold M. and Margaret “Peg” (Ziegler) Snyder. On April 4, 1964 in Williamsburg, he was united in marriage to Nancy A. (Grannas) Snyder, the love of his life; she preceded him in death on February 26, 2011.

Clem, as he was fondly known, was a 1959 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a proud member of the 1958 Championship Football Team. After graduation, he attended the Pittsburgh Barber School, receiving his certificate in 1961. Clem became an apprentice at Gibboney’s Barber Shop in Williamsburg and later purchased it. After that, he spent over 40 years as a barber at the Mall Barber Shop in the Logan Valley Mall.  In semi-retirement, he worked at Em’s Barbershop in Loysburg. Clem was a member of the First Methodist Church of Williamsburg for over 50 years. He was active in the community as a member of the Jaycees and the Williamsburg Lions Club. In his free time, Clem enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, traveling, fixing his home, and watching his grandson’s sporting events.

Surviving is son, Doug Snyder (wife, Sara) of Camp Hill; sister, Peggy Longenecker (husband, Harry) of Martinsburg; grandsons, Andy and Ben Snyder; cousin, Linda Dilling of Williamsburg; as well as several nephews and a niece.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 1:00PM to the 3:00PM Funeral Service at Fink & Stone Funeral Home in Williamsburg; Pastor Lee Seese officiating. Interment will be in the Williamsburg Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family would especially like to thank the staff of The Winds at Mattern Orchard and Grane Hospice for the loving care and support.
