William “Homer” Clapper, 79, of Martinsburg, went home to be with his Savior on April 2, 2016. He was born on September 9, 1936, in Loysburg, the son of Harvey and Mae (Mountain) Clapper. Homer was a chauffeur for RCA for 30 years. During this time, he met many important people, most special to him was Billy Graham. He enjoyed singing and playing guitar around the campfire, crafts, was always active with church youth, and most importantly, enjoyed working on projects with his son Crist. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Anna Mary (Claycomb) Clapper; son Crist D. Clapper of Martinsburg; sister Mary Ann Ott of Loysburg; and close family members Fred Rainear and Faye Johnson. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 5th from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. On Wednesday, April 6th at 11:00AM a Memorial Service will be held at the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church. Interment at Koontz Cemetery.
