William C. Keagle

William Corcelius Keagle, 73, resident of Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Williamsburg and Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday morning at the Veterans Home after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late William H. and Pauline (Corcelius) Keagle. He married Marianna Zimmerman on February 13, 1965, at the Fairview United Methodist Church, Altoona.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 50 years, Marianna of Martinsburg.
Bill was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School and a college graduate with degrees in business administration, accounting and advertising. He served in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania, with Troop G, 2nd Squadron, 104th Armored Calvary.
His working career took him up the ladder from display advertising solicitor of the Altoona Mirror to the Mirror's display advertising manager. His newspaper career spanned over 40 years and included advertising manager of the Morrison's Cove Herald.
Bill's early life centered on the United Methodist Church, the Williamsburg Lions Club, various Masonic orders and The Jaffa Shrine, Altoona.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
The family prefers memorial contributions be given to the Blair County Central PA Humane Society or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
