Zane Edward Wright, 61, of rural Roaring Spring, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday evening, November 24, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in Frankfurt, Germany, son of the late Paul Daniel Sr. and Margaret Jean (Richards) Wright.

Surviving are two daughters: Jamie Lee (Mike) Richardson and Danielle M. Wright both of Roaring Spring; two step-sons: Jason (Kandi) Sollenberger of Clappertown and Joshua (Alicia Zelanko) of Woodbury; four grandchildren: Calleigh Wright, Savannah, Waylon and Eden Richardson; three step-grandchildren: Chloe Zelanko, Alyssa and Kaleb Sollenberger; two brothers: Paul Daniel Jr. (Julie) Wright of Louisville, KY and Curtis A. (Connie) Wright of Altoona; two nephews: Nick and Taylor Wright; and a niece, Molly Wright.

Zane was a 1976 graduate of Altoona High School.  He worked for many years as the bowling alley manager at the Morrisons Cove Memorial Park and later for Small Tube Products, Duncanville.  Zane retired in 2018 with over 10 years of service from Appvion, Roaring Spring, where he was employed in the machine room.

He was a member of the N.R.A and Bavarian Aid Society, Altoona.  Zane loved spending time with his family and traveling every year to his favorite horse race, The Kentucky Derby.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his beloved Nittany Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers football.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Zane's life will be held from 5-7pm, Monday, December 2, 2019 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.  Private inurnment will be held at Carson Valley Cemetery, rural Duncansville.

Memorial contributions in memory of Zane can be given to your favorite local charity.
